ZG30-2 Slide-Feed Drilling & Tapping Power Head
ZG30-2 sleeve-feed drilling and tapping head with B18/ER25 interfaces and 100 mm catalog stroke. Confirm tooling, feed cycle and mounting dimensions.
Final specifications depend on the workpiece, tooling, cutting load, duty cycle, motor and machine interface.
ZG30-2 Sleeve-Feed Drilling and Tapping Power Head
ZG30-2 combines a spindle with a servo-driven sleeve feed for drilling and tapping stations. The catalog lists B18 and ER25 spindle options and a maximum sleeve stroke of 100 mm. Select the tooling, spindle drive and feed arrangement from the workpiece, process and machine interface.
Feed travel and machining requirements
- Catalog maximum sleeve stroke: 100 mm.
- Catalog ball-screw specification: Φ16×5.
- Catalog drilling / tapping capacity: Φ12 / M10. Workpiece material, tooling and cutting conditions must be confirmed; these figures are not a universal machining guarantee.
- Confirm the feed servo, guarding, approach distance, cutting feed and return cycle with the machine design.
Confirm spindle and motor ratings separately
The spindle table lists a maximum speed of 8,000 rpm and maximum power of ≤1.5 HP. The separate motor table lists 0.55–2.2 kW for three-phase asynchronous motors and 0.55–2 kW for servo spindle motors; the servo row lists 1,500 rpm rated and 3,000 rpm maximum. Motor speed and spindle speed depend on the drive ratio. These table entries must be reconciled for the ordered configuration; do not treat them as interchangeable ratings or a guaranteed operating combination.
The catalog roundness reference is ≤0.004 mm, with temperature rise ≤20°C. Confirm the inspection method, operating conditions and acceptance requirements. Roundness is not a spindle-runout specification or a guarantee of finished workpiece accuracy.

Before requesting a configuration
Provide the workpiece material, hole or thread size, tool specification, required depth, sleeve travel, cycle time, mounting drawing and control requirements. Final supply scope and performance conditions require technical confirmation.
Five items needed before configuration approval.
Providing these details early reduces drawing revisions and makes the quotation technically useful.
Operation
Boring, milling, drilling, facing or a combined process.
Workpiece
Material, feature dimensions, tolerance and target cycle time.
Tooling
Holder, tool diameter, interface, speed and coolant requirement.
Performance
Cutting load, finish, runout, duty cycle and service life.
Integration
Mounting drawing, center height, envelope, orientation and control.
Move from product review to machine integration.
Use the model as a starting point. The approved dimensional drawing and configuration record remain the final integration reference.
Confirm mounting faces, center height, spindle interface and machine envelope.
