Drawing-led configurationApplication reviewGlobal project support

Final specifications depend on the workpiece, tooling, cutting load, duty cycle, motor and machine interface.

XT40-1 motor-mounted configuration

Rear-mounted motor layout for a clear front-side machine envelope.

XT40-1-MB combines the XT40-1 spindle platform with a rear-mounted motor arrangement. Select it after checking rear clearance, guarding, service access, tooling, cutting load, target speed and connection dimensions.

Where XT40-1-MB fits

The motor position must match the real machine envelope and maintenance plan.

01

Special-purpose machines

Dedicated boring or milling stations where the rear motor envelope is easier to integrate.

02

Modular CNC units

Slide-table and modular assemblies requiring a 40-taper-class spindle and clear front access.

03

Production cells

Integrated machining modules after rear guarding, belt path and service clearance are checked.

04

Retrofit projects

Replacement or upgrade work where the existing rear-side envelope and mounting interface are verified.

Published selection data

Model XT40-1-MB
Motor arrangement Rear-mounted
Spindle interfaces NT40, MT4 or ER40
Housing / spindle material Confirm housing and spindle material grades, treatment and inspection requirements on the configuration drawing; the cited XT40-1 catalog table does not specify material grades.

Bearing arrangement 7209 AC/TBT and 7208 AC/DB matched angular-contact bearings
Published roundness ≤ 0.004 mm; confirm measurement and acceptance conditions
Published assembly weight 70 kg for the illustrated motor-mounted assembly
Three-phase motor reference 1.5–4 kW; 2-pole, 4-pole and 6-pole speed options are listed
Servo spindle motor reference 1.5–7.5 kW; 2,000 rpm rated and 7,000 rpm maximum listed
Drive options V-belt, synchronous belt or multi-wedge belt; final motor and ratio are application dependent
Orientation options Published data notes that front/rear, left/right and upward/downward positions can be configured after review
Engineering files Request the matching dimensional drawing and compatible 3D file before integration

Final dimensions, speed, load, motor, pulley ratio, roundness and acceptance conditions must be stated in the approved drawing and quotation.

Catalog reference: JNYO product catalog, printed pages 09–10 (PDF page 8). Chinese edition, approximately 74 MB. The catalog lists 4,500 rpm and an NSK-bearing 7,000 rpm option; confirm the complete configuration and operating limit. Roundness is not a spindle-runout specification or a guarantee of finished workpiece accuracy.

Compare the arrangement before ordering

MF and MB share the XT40-1 spindle platform but place the motor differently.

Five inputs that prevent a wrong configuration

Operation

Boring, milling, drilling or a combined process.

Workpiece

Material, feature size and expected production cycle.

Performance

Target speed, cutting load, finish and required accuracy.

Rear envelope

Available clearance, guarding, belt path and maintenance access.

Interface

Mounting drawing, center height, orientation and motor control.

XT40-1-MB questions

These answers define what must be confirmed before quotation.

What is the difference between XT40-1-MB and XT40-1-MF?

MB denotes a rear-mounted motor arrangement; MF denotes a front-mounted arrangement. Compare both drawings against the machine envelope, guarding, belt path and maintenance access.

How should I choose the spindle interface?

Choose NT40, MT4 or ER40 from the tooling, cutting load, changeover method and accuracy requirement. Send the tool specification and operation for review.

Is the motor included?

This page represents a motor-mounted configuration, but the exact motor type, power, speed, voltage, orientation and supply scope must be confirmed in the quotation.

Can every configuration operate at 7,000 rpm?

No. The published chart lists 4,500 rpm as standard and 7,000 rpm with the NSK-bearing option. The confirmed limit depends on the complete spindle, drive, motor, cutting load and duty cycle.

What should be included in the drawing request?

Provide the machine interface, available rear-side envelope, spindle center height, mounting orientation, guarding limits and service access.

Send the rear-side envelope before choosing XT40-1-MB.

JNYO will compare the application, spindle interface, motor space and drive arrangement before confirming the configuration and quotation.
