XT40-2-E-MF XT40-2-E Series

XT40-2-E-MF Enhanced Spindle Head (Front-Mounted)

XT40-2-E-MF places the motor toward the front of the enhanced XT40-2 spindle platform. Confirm front projection, tool access, guarding, belt routing and maintenance clearance before integration.

  • Spindle interfaceNT40-E / BT40
  • Published speed2,500 / 4,500 / 7,000 rpm (NSK option)
  • Assembly reference35 kg spindle head; assembly weight is drawing dependent
  • Published accuracy≤ 0.004 mm roundness

Send the operation, workpiece, tooling, target speed, load, duty cycle and machine interface drawing for configuration review.

Final specifications depend on the workpiece, tooling, cutting load, duty cycle, motor and machine interface.

XT40-2-E-MF front-mounted layout

A front-mounted motor arrangement for the XT40-2-E platform, selected around front space, guarding and tool-side access.

Application fit

Start with the workpiece and process. The model name is only a starting point; final selection follows the tooling, load and real machine layout.

01

Front-access layouts

Use the front-mounted arrangement when the machine structure provides enough tool-side space and protection.

02

Compact machine modules

Coordinate motor projection with the slide, column, fixture and operator-side guarding.

03

Belt-drive integration

Plan pulley ratio, tensioning, enclosure and inspection access around the front package.

04

Retrofit upgrades

Check front projection, center height and tool-change access against the existing machine.

Published selection data

Model platform XT40-2 enhanced boring and milling spindle head
Spindle interfaces NT40-E or BT40, selected around the tool interface and change method
Published speed options 2,500 rpm, 4,500 rpm and 7,000 rpm NSK-bearing option are shown in the published parameter data
Bearing arrangement 2,500 rpm: NN3011/234411BM1 with 7010AC/DB; 4,500 rpm and the 7,000 rpm NSK-bearing option: 7011AC/TBT with 7010AC/DB
Lubrication High-speed bearing grease
Published temperature rise ≤ 20°C under the conditions represented by the published data
Published roundness ≤ 0.004 mm; confirm measurement point, method and acceptance conditions
Published maximum power ≤ 10 HP
Three-phase motor reference 1.5–4 kW; 2-pole 3,000 rpm, 4-pole 1,500 rpm or 6-pole 1,000 rpm listed
Servo spindle motor reference 1.5–5.5 kW; 2,000 rpm rated and 7,000 rpm maximum listed
Motor arrangement Front-mounted motor (MF)
Integration file Request the matching dimensional drawing and compatible 3D file before integration
Layout check Front projection, tool access, belt routing, guarding and maintenance access must be confirmed from the selected drawing

MF identifies the front-mounted layout, not a universal motor or assembly weight. The spindle-head reference is 35 kg; motor, pulley, guard and accessory weight must be confirmed for the final build.

Choose the configuration around the machine

Compare the physical arrangement, tool interface, ATC and coolant requirements before fixing the motor and control specification.

Five inputs for a useful recommendation

Operation

Boring, milling, drilling or a combined process.

Workpiece

Material, feature size and required cycle time.

Tooling

Tool type, diameter, interface and target speed.

Performance

Cutting load, finish, accuracy and duty-cycle requirements.

Integration

Mounting drawing, center height, envelope, orientation and control.

XT40-2-E-MF selection questions

Confirm these items before the drawing and quotation are approved.

Which spindle interface should I specify for XT40-2-E-MF?

Start from the tool interface, cutting load, tool-change method and required accuracy. Send the tool specification and operation so the complete spindle configuration can be checked.

Are all published speed values available on every configuration?

No. The drawings show configuration-dependent speed options. The approved limit depends on the spindle, bearings, motor, drive ratio, cutting load and duty cycle, so the final value must be confirmed in the quotation and drawing.

What does the front-mounted motor (mf) arrangement change?

The front-mounted motor (mf) arrangement changes the motor envelope, belt path, guarding and service access. Compare the matching drawing with the machine envelope before fixing the mounting position.

Can JNYO provide a dimensional drawing or 3D model?

Dimensional and compatible 3D files can be requested for integration review. Include the spindle interface, motor arrangement and tool-change requirements so the matching file is selected.

What information is needed for a quotation?

Send the workpiece material, operation, tool details, target speed, cutting load, accuracy requirement, machine interface drawing, motor preference, quantity and destination country.

Catalog source and configuration limits

JNYO product catalog, printed pages 17–18 (PDF page 12); Chinese edition, approximately 74 MB.

Spindle speed and motor speed are separate values; output speed depends on the selected drive ratio and complete configuration. Catalog roundness and temperature rise require defined measurement and operating conditions and are not guarantees of workpiece accuracy. HP and kW retain the source units.

NT40 rear-drawbar and BT40 automatic tool-change arrangements are shown separately. ATC does not by itself include through-spindle coolant; CTS also requires compatible tooling, a coolant passage, rotary union, supply, filtration and control interfaces.

Review tool-side clearance before specifying XT40-2-E-MF.

Share the machine section drawing, front projection limit, center height, target speed and motor preference so the front-mounted package can be checked as a complete assembly.
