  • Motor range0.55–1.1 kW (catalog range)

Confirm the available installation envelope, motor access, spindle interface and machine connection drawing before ordering.

Drawing-led configurationApplication reviewGlobal project support

Final specifications depend on the workpiece, tooling, cutting load, duty cycle, motor and machine interface.

XT20 motor-mounted configuration

Front-mounted motor layout for application-led machine integration.

XT20-MF combines the XT20 boring and milling spindle platform with a front-mounted motor arrangement. Select it only after checking the machine envelope, service access, spindle interface, target speed and connection dimensions.

Where XT20-MF fits

The mounting arrangement should follow the real machine layout rather than a generic model preference.

01

Special-purpose machines

For dedicated boring or milling stations where the front-mounted motor envelope can be accommodated.

02

Modular CNC units

For slide-table and modular assemblies that require a compact XT20-class spindle platform.

03

Automation cells

For integrated machining modules after confirming access, guarding and interface dimensions.

04

Retrofit projects

For replacing or upgrading a spindle unit when the existing front-side space and connection can be verified.

Published selection data

Model XT20-MF
Motor arrangement Front-mounted
Housing material Confirm the housing material and treatment on the configuration drawing; the cited XT20 catalog table does not specify a material grade.
Spindle material Confirm the spindle material, heat treatment and inspection requirements for the ordered configuration; the cited XT20 catalog table does not specify a material grade.
Spindle interface MT2 or ER25
Maximum listed speed Up to 8,000 rpm, configuration dependent
Motor options Catalog motor range: 0.55–1.1 kW, with three-phase asynchronous or servo spindle motor configurations. Confirm the selected motor rating and drive ratio.
Bearing arrangement 7005AC/DB is listed for both bearing positions in the catalog. Confirm the bearing quantity, arrangement and precision class on the configuration drawing.
Lubrication High-speed bearing grease
Listed roundness ≤0.004 mm; confirm final inspected value and measurement conditions with the approved configuration
Listed temperature rise ≤20°C; confirm operating and test conditions before acceptance

The cited catalog lists reference values for preliminary selection. Its roundness and temperature-rise figures are not a guarantee of finished workpiece accuracy or performance under every operating condition. Confirm the motor, materials, bearing arrangement, dimensions, speed limit and acceptance conditions on the configuration drawing and quotation before ordering.

Choose the arrangement before the motor

MF and MB use the same XT20 platform data but place the motor differently. Compare both against the available machine envelope.

Five inputs that prevent a wrong configuration

Operation

Boring, milling, drilling or combined process.

Workpiece

Material, feature size and expected cycle.

Performance

Target speed, load and required accuracy.

Envelope

Available front-side space and service access.

Interface

Machine drawing, key dimensions and mounting direction.

XT20-MF questions

These answers define what must be confirmed before quotation.

What is the difference between XT20-MF and XT20-MB?

MF denotes the front-mounted motor arrangement; MB denotes the rear-mounted arrangement. The correct choice depends on machine envelope, belt or coupling arrangement, guarding and maintenance access. Request both drawings if the layout is not fixed.

Should I choose MT2 or ER25?

Choose from the toolholding method, tool range, process and accuracy requirement. Send the tool specification and operation so JNYO can confirm the suitable interface.

Is the motor included?

This listing represents a motor-mounted configuration, but the final motor type, power, speed and supply conditions must be confirmed in the quotation. Do not assume a specific motor without written confirmation.

Can 8,000 rpm be used with every configuration?

No universal operating speed should be assumed. The published maximum is configuration dependent; spindle interface, bearing setup, motor, pulley ratio, load and duty cycle all need confirmation.

What should be included in the drawing request?

Provide the machine interface, available envelope, spindle center height, installation direction, motor access and any guarding limits. Include the workpiece and operation for a useful recommendation.

Send the machine envelope before choosing XT20-MF.

JNYO will compare the application, interface and front-mounted motor space before confirming the configuration and quotation.
