Daily Maintenance Guide for CNC Slide Tables
A practical daily-care guide for CNC slide tables, covering cleaning, lubrication, inspections, accuracy checks, environmental control, cutting parameters, and tooling selection.

JNYO CNC slide tables are important motion units in industrial automation and precision machining. Their positioning accuracy, travel speed, and stability affect workpiece handling and machining consistency. A clear maintenance routine helps support dependable operation as production requirements evolve.
1. Clean the slide table
Clean the slide-table surface and internal working areas regularly, especially around chips, dust, and other debris. Use a suitable cleaner and dry the equipment thoroughly to reduce rust and contamination. During assembly or repair, prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.
2. Lubricate correctly
Select the lubricant specified for the slide table and apply it at the required time and points. Sliding surfaces and transmission components commonly require attention. Too little lubricant increases wear, while too much can attract contamination or affect movement.
3. Inspect fasteners and wear parts
Check screws, bearings, guideways, and other components for looseness or wear. Set a monthly inspection interval, or follow the equipment manufacturer’s schedule, with special attention to components that experience higher loads. Stop and investigate abnormal noise or movement before continuing operation.
4. Check accuracy and service condition
Review slide-table accuracy, wear, and travel condition at the specified interval. Complete cleaning, lubrication, adjustment, and worn-part replacement as required to preserve positioning performance.
5. Control the working environment
Keep the surrounding area clean so dust and metal chips do not enter the slide-table mechanism. Operate within a stable temperature range and provide suitable ventilation and heat dissipation. Protect the equipment from corrosive substances, excessive vibration, and heavy dust.
6. Match cutting conditions and tooling
- Select cutting parameters according to the workpiece material, tool, machine configuration, and process requirements.
- Use suitable, high-quality tooling and fixtures to support machining accuracy and efficiency while reducing unnecessary load and wear on the slide table.
Consistent cleaning, lubrication, inspection, environmental control, and process setup can help preserve the accuracy and service life of a CNC slide table. Always use the equipment manual and application specifications as the final reference for service intervals and settings.
